The Red Dunes, as the name suggests, features reddish-brown sand that makes them a more popular place for photography. Smaller than White Dunes, they are easier to reach. Sand-sledding is a common (and fun) activity here, but it is hard to nail down where the best location to do so is as the sands shift from season to season so it’s best to look around. Dry sand is much more enjoyable to sled on.</div>

Visitors can rent plastic sleds and it is a wise idea to check the price and agree on it beforehand. Some travelers have had unpleasant experiences with the youngsters renting them out so be alert and keep cool. Walking on the main road in Van Phuc, tourists will be lost in the world of silk with various products like shirts, ties, crafts, dresses… made of silk available in the village.</div>

For a long period of time, silk was considered as extremely precious handwork which was only used to tailor Royal members' and aristocrats’ dress. In Nguyen dynasty time, Van Phuc silk was brought to Hue imperial citadel to make dress for royal members. From 1958 to 1988, Van Phuc silk mostly was exported to Eastern European market, and since 1990, it has been known widely in many countries all over the world.</div>

Today, to satisfy various demand for silk of the market, Van Phuc silk producers have expanded their silk and garment goods like embroidered silk, , wrinkled silk, double layers and more colors for silk products.</div>

The sellers are very friendly and can speak a little English and French to communicate to foreign tourists.</div>

Designed by <a href="http://what%20to%20do%20in%20dalat/">Vietnamese</a> architect and impressionist Dang Viet Nga, this extraordinary building of non-rectilinear shapes has appeared in many international architectural journals and finally made its way to the list of the world’s ten most creative buildings (according to the Chinese People’s Daily).<br /><br /><br /><b>Location and history</b><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />The house is located at 3 Huynh Thuc Khang St., Ward 3, Dalat City, covering an area approximately 1,600m2. Stemming from the need to build something completely on her own, Architect Nga's house was started constructing in 1990. The construction as well as the process of claiming for possession of this house are both long stories. Started from scratch, there was time that Ms. Nga was on the verge of bankruptcy when all banks refused to lend her. It was at this point that she came up with the idea of selling tickets for tourists visiting the house. Moreover, after 18 continuous years and 6 times filing, she has been given the possession of this house, as well as its recognition as a piece of art. Still, she doesn't want to relax at all but is going to add up more constructions, such as a communal house inside the existing area.<br /><br /><br /><br /><b><br />Unique architectural design</b><br /><br />As the intention of the architect is to make a fairy tale house, the “crazy house” resembles a tree with uneven windows, tunnel-shaped stairways, etc. Both the exterior and the interior of the guesthouse are created and decorated with twisting organic forms and very few right angles. The hollow “tree” extends in many directions, rising above to reach to the sky of the amazingDalat. Walking along the cave-shape hallways inside the house is not simply a visit but an exhilarating experience, a departure from the norm; wild mushrooms and spider webs popping up on your way is not unusual. Besides, the guesthouse is really a spectacular construction with ten themed guest rooms such as the tiger room, the eagle room, the ant room and the kangaroo room…, with decorations and handcrafted furniture matching the theme. Hanoi is situated on an ancient soil area
deposited from time immemorial with layer after layer of alluvium carried down
from the northern mountain ranges by the Red River and its tributaries. That is
the reason why Hanoian feel as closely connected to their Red River as children
do towards their mothers. In the old days, the Red River was given another
common name: Cai (Mother) River. The name of Hanoi (Exterior side of a river)
has derived from an ancient language which is literally known as a land area
located in the inner side the Red River. It is not that the city is inside the
river but rather it is embraced by about 100 kilometers of the Red river dykes.
The dyke portion in Hanoi accounts for about one fifth of the total river dykes
flanking on either side of the Red River that runs along the Vietnamese
territory on a stretch of more than 500 kilometers.<br />
<br />
Other rivers that run through Hanoi include the
Duong, the Cau, and the Ca Lo, the Day, the Nhue, the Tich, the To Lich and the
Kim Nguu rivers. The last two rivers, To Lich and Kim Nguu, have been regarded
as an inexhaustible source of inspiration for many Vietnamese literature
writers and poems that lived in the capital city in the old days. These two
rivers were considered the most poetic and romantic bodies of water that flows
through the city.<br />
At present the two rivers, To Lich and Kim Nguu,
are still partly seen in the city. Their former grandeur has long lost their
literature charm because they have to give way to urbanization development
scheme. Currently these rivers are regarded merely as the city's main open
ditch drainage system. However, the government has had in mind a massive upgrading
scheme to return the two historic rivers their original beauty<br />

Hanoi features a warm humid subtropical climate
with plentiful precipitation. The city experiences the typical climate of
northern Vietnam, where summers are hot and humid, and winters are, by national
standards, relatively cool and dry. Summers, lasting from May to September, are
hot and humid, and receive the majority of the annual 1,680 millimeters (66.1
in) of rainfall. The winters are short, relatively dry, and mild, while spring
can bring light rains.<br />
<br />
When the first state of ancient Vietnam was
established in Hanoi (formerly Thang Long), the city was considered a sacred
and typical part of Vietnam. Twenty three centuries ago, Co Loa in the
present-day district of Dong Anh was the capital of the ancient Au Lac country
reigned by Thuc An Duong Vuong (King Thuc An Duong.) In the subsequent period
of more than 1,000 years, Hanoi had witnessed brilliant feats of arms in a long
resistance war against the northern mighty invaders. The subsequent dynasties
sometimes moved their capital to other regions.<br />
Mid 20th century, Hanoi suffers from the complex
events of history. Events that Japanese attacks Indochina in 1940 make Vietnam
under the administration of the French and Japanese. The Vietnamese forces held
August revolution succeeded. In september 2nd 1945, Ho Chi Minh read the
Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh, and created the Democratic Republic of
Vietnam with Hanoi capital. In 1945, the victory of Dien Bien Phu, our military
regained the North of Vietnam, Hanoi continued the capital position of the
Democratic Republic of Vietnam.<br />
<br />
As the capital of Vietnam for almost a thousand
years, Hanoi is considered one of the main cultural centers of Vietnam, where
most Vietnamese dynasties have left their imprint. Even though some relics have
not survived through wars and time, the city still has many interesting
cultural and historic monuments for visitors and residents.<br />
<br />
Hanoi was given the title "City for
Peace" on June 17th 1999. In 2000, President Tran Duc Luong in Hanoi
awarded the title "Capital hero" on October 4th. In 2010, the city

The travellers who do venture to Mai Chau, <a href="http://things-todo-in-vietnam.blogspot.com/">Son La</a> and Dien Bien Phu often do so by way of a hired jeep and driver or do it by motorbike, while those striking straight north to Vietnam's hilltribe capital of Sapaavail themselves of the comfortable and efficient overnight train to Sapa. Whichever way you're headed, prepare yourself for stunning scenery as you pass through spectacular ravines and over breathtaking passes.<br />

Best known for the burgeoning trekking centre of <a href="http://hivietnam.vn/sapa/">sapa vietnam</a>, there is a lot more worth investigating in this part of the country. The remote French firebase of Dien Bien Phu remains a drawcard, but it's as much the attraction of the trip there as the town itself that is worth visiting. A trip to Dien Bien Phu is easily combined with an approach to Sapa via "the back way" over the Fansipan pass (Vietnam's highest), allowing for more stunning scenery and the opportunity to see some of the less touristed parts of the country.<br />

Another popular destinations is Mai Chau whose day-trekking and stunning scenery have helped it develop into a small tourist centre en-route to Dien Bien Phu -- many trips from Hanoi run out to Mai Chau -- and with good reason. It also forms a comfortable spot to rest those weary limbs before continuing onwards and up into the hills.<br />

More and more travellers are now heading up into this part of the country, in part due to the long-awaited opening of the border crossing into Laos near Dien Bien Phu -- yes, it's true, you really can cross here now!<br />

The materials that constitute the building, from exterior granite to interior wood, were contributed by people from all over the country. Even the garden that surrounded the Mausoleum has a collection of plants and bonsais donated from all regions in Vietnam. This shows the Vietnamese’s wish to forever keep their dear father/grandfather company. In fact, the construction of the Mausoleum was against Ho Chi Minh’s will. As he passed away, he wished to be cremated and his cremation to be scattered all over the country, so that land can be saved for agricultural production.</div>

Visiting the Mausoleum is free of charge but involves a set of strictly enforced regulations. No short skirts or tank tops are allowed and there is high level of security check upon arrival. Taking photos, talking or finger-pointing are strictly prohibited inside the mausoleums.</div>

<b style="color: #a81758;">Itinerary:</b> Rising up in the ancient land, breakfast in hotel, we board on a private boat for cruising on the romantic Perfume River. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and visit to some of these tombs will be on the itinerary for today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop. Setting in the converge of rivers, and gives you a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. From here you will take a drive to visit King Minh Mang's tomb & King Tu Duc tomb.<br />
This afternoon we embark on a tour of Hue City including the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. Overnight in Hue .<br />

The rest of morning, visit Phuc Kien Pagoda, a 17th century Japanese style pagoda with three gates at the entrance and Tan Ky House - one of the oldest houses of Hoi An with more than 200 years old built in Chinese style. Upon arrival in Halong City, you will take a tender transfer to your junk and set sail through the bay while lunch is served. We will have time to explore Halong Bay on the most wonderful route then do kayaking among the hidden areas of the bay, around the Luon cave area. Next cruising to Soi Sim island for a swim or relaxing on beach. You might climb up to the top of island for a panorama view of the bay. Back on board, you'll enjoy the sunset and later unwind at restaurant for a lavish dinner. Enjoy some evening activities such as board games, or squid fishing before an overnight stay on the junk.</div>

At 9:30AM, our boat cruises back to the jetty, watching a cooking demonstration before enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch.<br />
