Visiting Uncle Ho’s Stilt House

Come to Hanoi visit HochiMinh Mausoleum in autumn is the best time to visit vietnam. In a large garden behind President’s Palace, there is a narrow gravel path, mango trees on two sides that lead to the small and lovely stilt house located among tree arches. Hibiscus fences are grown around the house and the entrance is interwoven with tree branches. The ground floor is a place where Uncle Ho had a meeting with Politburo. Upper floor have two small rooms where Uncle Ho worked and bed room with simple and rustic tools. In front of the house is a fish pond raised by Uncle Ho. Orchids bloom year around along bank of the fish pond.

People from all parts of country as well as international visitors coming to Hanoi capital always want to visit the mausoleum, Uncle Ho’s Stilt House and walk around historical Ba Dinh Square.

Behind the house is fruit garden with a bunch of precious plants which were presented from nationwide locals such as star apple tree from Southern people in 1954, grape fruits from Phuc Trach, Bien Hoa, Me Linh; orange plants from Hai Hung, Xuan Mai, Van Du, Xa Doai; kumquat from Huong Can, Ly Nhan; apple from Thien Phien, Ngoc Ho; two mai flower trees from Dong My; persimmon from Tien Dien (hometown of Nguyen Du poet. The garden also has imported trees as Lonicera japonica Thunb, Taxodium, King Palm tree from Caribbean.
